Anytime you are planning a trip somewhere, the last thing you want to do is waste money. That is why it is always a good idea to plan carefully and book your trip in advance. Doing so can save you a lot of time and hassles down the road. Especially when booking flights.
There are many ways to save money on flights, if you pre-plan. Buying in advance always helps you to find the cheapest airfares. It is a well known fact that last minute travel always costs more. Hotels, car rentals, tourist attractions and flights always have higher prices for the last minute shopper.
Bahrain International Circuit is built for an organization but waits visitors in the middle of Bahrain also on the other days of the year. It is a worth-seeing place but there is not much offered to visitors. Fridays and Saturdays are the days for Karting, which starts after 15:30, nothing more. There is a little giftshop with little variety of gifts but extremely expensive. It is very near to Al Areen Wild Life Reserve, Banyan Tree Hotel and Dİlmun Waterpark, you can just visit them all at once.

Opening hours are usually Sat, Sun & Tue 8am-2pm; Wed-Thu 8am-2pm & 4pm-8pm; Fri 3pm-8pm but it is best to check in case of religious or state holidays. The entry fee is very low (about 200 fils so less than a $ or 50p last time) and parking is free so it’s great value for money but the coffee shop never seems to be open so plan your coffee break elsewhere.
Highlights are the exhibition explaining the Dilmun burial mounds and the life size recreation of traditional life in Bahrain.
Bab el-Bahrain Souk
The souk is bustling in the evening, most of the shop keepers shut up shop for a “siesta” during the day when the weather is at it’s hottest. Goto the Souk at around 6 pm when it is at the least busiest, before the crowds roll in. It is ful of locals and tourists alike all looking for bargains. You’ll find everything from the most ornate beautiful gold jewelry to tea sets to fabrics, they pretty much sell everything except groceries. Don’t pay tag price for anything, haggle for everything even when in a store that you think might have ‘fixed” prices these guys are also worth haggling with, they are all looking for an easy sell to a tourist. Shop for a bit and stop in a nice airconditioned cafe for a cool drink before resuming the task at hand shopping!!! Enjoy!
