    Bahrain International Circuit Jan 01

bahrain international circuit Bahrain International Circuit

Bahrain International Circuit is built for an organization but waits visitors in the middle of Bahrain also on the other days of the year. It is a worth-seeing place but there is not much offered to visitors. Fridays and Saturdays are the days for Karting, which starts after 15:30, nothing more. There is a little giftshop with little variety of gifts but extremely expensive. It is very near to Al Areen Wild Life Reserve, Banyan Tree Hotel and Dİlmun Waterpark, you can just visit them all at once.

    Bahrain National Museum Dec 01

    bahrain museum Bahrain National Museum

Bahrain’s flagship museum was opened in 1988. The museum focusses on life and history of the island and is well worth a visit while you are in Bahrain. The exhibits are all labelled in Arabic and English and the museum is air conditioned (pretty important out here!).

Opening hours are usually Sat, Sun & Tue 8am-2pm; Wed-Thu 8am-2pm & 4pm-8pm; Fri 3pm-8pm but it is best to check in case of religious or state holidays. The entry fee is very low (about 200 fils so less than a $ or 50p last time) and parking is free so it’s great value for money but the coffee shop never seems to be open so plan your coffee break elsewhere.

Highlights are the exhibition explaining the Dilmun burial mounds and the life size recreation of traditional life in Bahrain.
